Oh, Jennifer and Chris. Their love story is twenty-five years in the making, and they threw the party of a lifetime on Saturday to celebrate it! From the moment I arrived at the venue, I knew I was with my people.

Every single friend and family member was beaming with excitement and joy, thrilled that this day had finally arrived. Turquoise details were everywhere, and Jimmy Buffett deep tracks greeted my ears throughout the evening, pulling me back to my own childhood. I’d never been to Kent Island before Saturday, but it reminds me so much of my home near Solomons Island that I immediately felt at home.

Just an hour before the ceremony began, a storm rolled through that almost threatened to ruin the plans for a waterfront ceremony. Jennifer and Chris stayed cool as a cucumber. All that mattered was that they got married and celebrated with their family and friends, but as luck would have it, the skies cleared moments before 6PM and we were treated to a fantastic evening.

These two aren’t just in love. They’re loved fiercely by all that know them. Both Jennifer and Chris have earned affectionate nicknames (“AJ” and “Woobie”), a testament to how endearing they truly are. So many happy tears were shed on Saturday, and I’m so thankful I was there to witness the occasion.
