Baby Carter | A Lifestyle Newborn Session

Baby Carter | A Lifestyle Newborn Session

Warning: LOOK AWAY if you have baby fever! I photographed this adorable little chunk today. Carter’s newborn session was a total dream! His family moved into a gorgeous home in northern Calvert County last fall. What better way to celebrate a growing family and new house than an in-home lifestyle session?

Big brother Weston is two years old, which I always say is the HARDEST age to photograph! Toddlers really need time to warm up to new people, especially just after so much change in their lives. I took some extra time to play with Weston and sure enough – I made a friend! I’m pretty sure he ran out the front door to watch me leave at the end!

That’s not to say there weren’t some tears while I was there. Newborn sessions can often feel chaotic with older siblings in the mix – just like real life! I hope their parents look back on these images and remember just how sweet this season of life was, even if it felt crazy at the time!

Enjoy a few favorites from Carter’s newborn session. Thank you for trusting me, Henni family!

When it comes to engagement photos, I’m all about making the session feel personal and true to your relationship. One of my favorite ways to do that is to include your dog! For so many couples, a pup is part of the family, so it only makes sense to bring them along for this special […]

Some wedding days are extra special and this one is near the top of the list. Jaclyn isn’t just one of my beautiful brides… she’s also my cousin. Being part of her and Billy’s Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding in Kent Island, Maryland, was both an honor and a joy. This was a rare and […]
