Christian is One! | Cake Smash Session Recap

A Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Cake Smash

HOW is this little guy one already?! It seems like just yesterday that I photographed his newborn session! Christian is the youngest of five kids, so his mama reasoned that a cake smash session was probably the only way he’d get to enjoy his own birthday cake. Smart move, because he absolutely loved it!

Surviving the first year is an accomplishment, and it takes a village. We provide all of the styling for cake smash sessions, so that everything matches perfectly and you don’t need to worry about a thing besides showing up! Leigh totally outdid herself with this balloon garland. It’s definitely my favorite one yet, and the star shaped lights and cake topper were just the icing on the cake!

Cake smash sessions might be all about baby, but it’s also a chance for us to check in with mama. So often, things are pretty hectic during the newborn session. Parents are tired, mom is sore, baby is brand new and still a little foreign. But by the one-year mark, everyone is relaxed and settled into their roles. It’s so great to reconnect with our families and watch them grow!

Thanks so much for coming in, Kathryn! Enjoy a few favorites from Christian’s session!
