Emily & Bobby | A Summertime Waterfront Wedding at Weatherly Farm
I may be on vacation, but that won’t stop me from sharing this wedding with you! From beginning to end, Emily & Bobby’s Weatherly Farm wedding was a dream. It was one of the hottest days in July, but once the breeze kicked in, it was absolutely perfect! I knew that I was going to LOVE her dusty blue color palette, but I still did a happy dance when I saw Emily’s gorgeous details! One of my favorites was a swan bracelet gifted to Emily by her godmother. It’s especially significant because Swan is Emily’s mom’s maiden name!
If there’s one thing to know about Emily and Bobby, it’s that their family and friends are so important to them – and that feeling goes both ways! The entire wedding party was so good-natured and a joy to photograph, even though it was approximately one zillion degrees outside. (Okay that’s an exaggeration, but still, those guys were total troopers!) Emily’s sweet aunts and uncles went above and beyond not just planning the event, but perfecting every little detail on the day of. One look at these images, and I’d say their hard work paid off! The reception space was stunning!
Speaking of the venue, we have got to talk about Weatherly Farm. This was my first time at the property, but I’m praying it won’t be the last! Weatherly Farm is easily my new favorite southern Maryland wedding venue. It features sweeping river views, gorgeous white covered porches, and a reception pavilion unlike anything I’ve seen in the area. Brides, take note and give Weatherly Farm a visit!
It’s hard to pick just one favorite moment from Emily and Bobby’s wedding day, but if I had to, it’d be the toasts. I couldn’t help but smile as their parents and friends told stories about the couple, reliving their childhoods and how they met. The way Bobby looked at Emily all night was just so. dang. adorable. You could tell he felt like the luckiest guy in the world! These two are both so sweet and good natured, and it was such an honor to document their wedding day.
