Abigail & Gary | A Southern Maryland Engagement Session

Buckle up kids, because I’ve got a stunner of an engagement session to share with you today! There’s a chance Abigail and Gary missed their calling as models, because they were total naturals in front of the camera. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding is going to be a breeze!

The sun was shining and the temperature was perfect when I met Abigail and Gary at Jefferson Patterson Park. They had a little stowaway in tow, too – their adorable son, Brooks, joined us for a bit so that we could create a few family portraits! Brooks just turned one this month and is at maximum cuteness level. With dad’s features and mom’s complexion, he’s the perfect combination of his parents!

Both Abigail and Gary went to the University of Maryland (go Terps!), but they actually met here in SOMD. They’re planning a September wedding at the Port Tobacco Courthouse with a warm aesthetic, so the tall grasses of Jefferson Patterson Park made for the perfect location for their engagement session.

Speaking of September – it’ll be here before we know it! I cannot wait to see the wedding plans come to life. But for now, please enjoy my favorites from their engagement session! Congrats, Abigail and Gary (and Brooks)!

I’ve honestly lost track of how many times I’ve photographed this family now, and each time truly gets better and better! Sticking with one photographer over the years is one of the best things a family can do, because it allows everyone to feel more comfortable and genuinely enjoy the session. One thing is certain, […]

When you have clients that love and appreciate art as much as Isabella and Jory, you find a way to showcase that love in photos. For them, that meant a National Gallery of Art engagement session. It turned out more perfect than I could have imagined. Including personal items or highlighting shared interests is something […]

When you think of wedding photography, your mind probably goes straight to the romantic wedding portraits, like the epic first kiss at the ceremony, or the newlywed’s first dance. While these wedding day moments are essential and some of my favorites to capture, there are other photos that are just as important but often overlooked […]
