An Impromptu Backyard Wedding | Hannah & Casey

Hannah and Casey are MARRIED! Coronavirus forced them to postpone their destination wedding until next year, but they chose to tie the knot in front of a handful of loved ones on their original date. Hannah’s aunt’s home in northern Virginia was the perfect location for the low-key ceremony, and I was so thrilled to be there to document it.

I really cannot overstate what a lesson in grace and humility this year has been. Just look through these images – love truly is all you need. Hannah and Casey shared a first look (with their family watching eagerly!), shared a first dance to their favorite Luke Combs song, and even shotgunned Natty Lights to kick off the reception. Friends and family who couldn’t be there in person joined in via Zoom – something I’m sure will be a staple at weddings throughout 2020!

Next year we’ll celebrate all over again in Mexico, and I am already counting down the days! Congratulations, you two – enjoy a few of my favorites!

When you think of wedding photography, your mind probably goes straight to the romantic wedding portraits, like the epic first kiss at the ceremony, or the newlywed’s first dance. While these wedding day moments are essential and some of my favorites to capture, there are other photos that are just as important but often overlooked […]

When it comes to engagement photos, I’m all about making the session feel personal and true to your relationship. One of my favorite ways to do that is to include your dog! For so many couples, a pup is part of the family, so it only makes sense to bring them along for this special […]
