A Summertime Engagement Session in DC | Jacque & Zac

If you like lush, vibrant greens, you are going to LOVE these portraits! We met at Constitution Gardens for Jacque and Zac’s engagement session, which in my opinion, is one of the most underrated locations in DC. You’ve got beautiful views of Lincoln in one direction, the Washington Monument in the other, and you’re surrounded by beautiful weeping willow trees. It’s pretty hard to beat!

Jacque and Zac met at Salisbury University, and now they’re parents to two kitties and planning a spring 2021 wedding! These two are so cute together and instantly seemed comfortable in front of the camera. Jacque has the best laugh, and Zac is perfectly happy to make her laugh. Made my job way too easy!

We headed over to the WWII Memorial to wrap up the session. This is NOT an easy place to shoot, especially midday in July without a cloud in the sky! But once again, Jacque and Zac made it look easy. Of course we had to snap a pic in front of the Maryland pillar. How can you visit this landmark and not take a photo by your state?!

Enjoy my favorites from their session – congrats, you two!

I’ve honestly lost track of how many times I’ve photographed this family now, and each time truly gets better and better! One thing is certain, […]

When you have clients that love and appreciate art as much as Isabella and Jory, you find a way to showcase that love in photos. For them, that meant a National Gallery of Art engagement session. It turned out more perfect than I could have imagined. Including personal items or highlighting shared interests is something […]

When you think of wedding photography, your mind probably goes straight to the romantic wedding portraits, like the epic first kiss at the ceremony, or the newlywed’s first dance. While these wedding day moments are essential and some of my favorites to capture, there are other photos that are just as important but often overlooked […]
