Emily + Daniel
I don’t play favorites, but when your sister-in-law is the bride and your daughters are the flower girls, it’s hard NOT to be a little biased! Emily was barely in middle school when Adam and I first started dating, so to see her as a bride all these years later was extra special. When she asked me to be their photographer, of course I was thrilled to have the honor!
Emily and Daniel met at Towson University, where they were both involved with the marching band. It was clear when we first met Daniel that their relationship was a special one, and the girls adore Daniel *almost* as much as they love their Aunt Emily. In addition to both now being in music education, they’re both kind, considerate, and truly a joy to be around.
With both Emily and Daniel being teachers, a summer wedding was the perfect fit. They chose Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick, Maryland as their venue, which complemented their vision for a garden wedding beautifully. Lizzy from The Art of Violets truly outdid herself with the floral design, which felt organic and whimsical and was an absolute dream to photograph. I could’ve played with Emily’s bouquet all day!
A July wedding is always a gamble when it comes to weather, but these two hit the jackpot. Emily and Daniel’s wedding day was perfectly overcast and slightly cool for the season, making it a perfect evening for an outdoor ceremony and mingling on the patio during cocktail hour. Crow Entertainment ensured the dance floor stayed packed all night long, including two VERY happy flower girls who danced the night away. I was especially thankful to have my right-hand woman, Michelle of Michelle Lee Photography, take over as my associate for the reception so that I could enjoy the festivities, too!
Emily and Daniel, thank you SO much for trusting me to document this day for you and for our family. Enjoy a few of my favorites below!
