A Classic Wedding at Perigeaux Winery

Marisa + Spencer

What happens when you work at the high school your fiancé attended, and many of his former teachers end up being some of your closest colleagues? Pure hilarity ensues during toasts. Or should I say, roasts! Marisa and Spencer’s classic Perigeaux Winery wedding was one to remember for many reasons, but without a doubt, the toasts stand out as a highlight in my memory! It was a day filled with pure joy and happy tears as these two families finally became one.

Their Labor Day Weekend was a hot one, but beautiful! Marisa and Spencer chose a color palette of deep emerald green and neutrals, perfect for the beginning of the fall season. Marisa shared a first look with both her dad and her stepdad, which was a special way to incorporate both men into the celebration. She and Spencer exchanged private vows to each other after their first look. This is such a great way to incorporate more intimate moments into your wedding day!

After the first look, we headed to the wedding venue for more portraits prior to the ceremony. It was my first time visiting Perigeaux Winery, and my jaw was on the floor when we arrived! The vineyards were beautiful and surrounded by towering oak trees, which felt like stepping into southern California. Perigeaux Winery is truly one of southern Maryland’s best kept secrets!

Marisa’s brother officiated the ceremony, and the way Marisa and Spencer were both beaming with happiness kept a smile on my face for days. Friends and family came together to decorate the reception space, which was beautiful! Marisa and Spencer met at an All-American Rejects concert, so it was only fitting that they entered the reception to “Gives You Hell”, setting the stage for the fun night to come. As the sun set, we headed out for a few more portraits in the vineyard. Fall color was slowly creeping in, which made my autumn-loving heart so happy!

The toasts had guests rolling as friends shared fun memories and the dance floor stayed packed all night. All in all, this was the perfect way to kick off my busy fall season! Congratulations, Marisa and Spencer!
