Reflecting on The Motherhood Series

A few weeks ago we hosted our most anticipated event of the year: The Motherhood Series. This limited edition series honors the connection that mothers have with their children through fine art, painterly studio portraits. I’m so thankful to my creative team that helped this event come to life, including Sara at Willow Canvas for designing and painting the backdrop, The Annapolis Studio for hosting us in their space, Michaela at Days of May for a jaw dropping floral installation, and my dear friend Leigh for assisting throughout the day!

Most of all, I’m thankful for the clients who trusted my vision and joined us for this incredibly special event. I’m already dreaming up how to make it even bigger next year! If you want to join us for next year’s Motherhood Event, be sure to join the newsletter list HERE to be the first to know about all studio news!

Lindsey and Andrew’s maternity session at Washington National Cathedral was gorgeous – and had the most perfect timing (since Lindsey delivered just days after our time together!). I’m so happy we were able to pull this off for them. When Lindsey and Andrew told me how important their faith was to them, I immediately thought […]

girls run around parents during spring photos in Washington DC

There’s nothing more special in Washington DC than springtime cherry blossom season! It’s so magical and I love when I have the chance to capture family portraits in the Tidal Basin. This family just moved to DC from Texas, and in fact the date of our session was the first time they’d ever been to […]
