Kristin & Alex | An Intimate Southern Maryland Elopement

bride and groom kiss outside Rousby Hall for classic outdoor wedding day

Kristin and Alex planned an intimate waterfront elopement and al fresco reception for just 20 of their closest friends and family at Rousby Hall, a beautiful hidden gem location in Southern Maryland. The entire day was absolutely stunning – despite a last minute change to their plans. The day their wedding was originally planned was showing a 100% chance of rain for their fully outdoor event. Kristin and Alex worked with their vendors to quickly pivot their celebration to Friday! Everyone was still able to attend, and the weather was perfect for being outdoors. It was the best solution we could have wanted for their intimate Rousby Hall wedding day!

Waterfront Wedding Ceremony

Rousby Hall is one of my favorite venues in Southern Maryland! It’s got a stunning view of the water and there’s a gorgeous spot right along the water, where ceremonies are held. Kristin and Alex chose to line the aisle with white petals and bouquets of flowers in lieu of an altar. Kristin’s sister is an ordained minister and performed the marriage ceremony for them, which is so sweet! It was a gorgeous ceremony and such a special memory for the start of Kristin and Alex’s marriage.

Al Fresco Reception at Rousby Hall

Following their waterfront ceremony, Kristin and Ale welcomed their guests to an al fresco reception. They filled the lawn with beautiful ivory flowers and greenery – along with the most gorgeous tables, chairs, and seating areas. It became a wonderful area to spend the evening under the twinkling lights to celebrate the newlyweds. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal, space to party and play, and time together.

Congratulations, Kristin and Alex! Your waterfront wedding at Rousby Hall was absolutely stunning. I loved every moment of your al fresco celebration and I’m so happy for you both! I’m thrilled we were able to pivot your wedding day to enjoy this beautiful weather together – it was the perfect day!
