Congratulations, Melanie and Treavor! They hosted a big Greek wedding in Washington DC! It was so special to witness the sacred traditions of a Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony and I feel honored that I was able to capture all of their special moments.
A Big Greek Wedding Day
Melanie and Treavor had about 250 guests and a 15+ person wedding party, which meant I needed my biggest team yet to successfully photograph all of the moments of their wedding day. As a seasoned Washington DC wedding photographer, it was fun to get the chance to use my expertise in the area to pull this off without a hitch! Many thanks to my incredible team, Michelle and Melissa, for helping me flawlessly cover this day. Melanie and Treavor created a truly beautiful celebration for all of their guests – and for them.
I absolutely loved the chance to capture their Greek Orthodox ceremony. There’s so many special traditions included in their ceremonies and it was absolutely beautiful. Not to mention – the church itself is stunning! After their ceremony, Melanie and Treavor posed on the steps of the church before we walked around DC together, too. It’s always a fun challenge to find quiet spots for portraits in the busy city.
Potomac View Terrace Wedding Reception
The reception was held at Potomac View Terrace which has some of my favorite views of the city. Guests were able to mingle and view the city during cocktail hour before sitting down for a delicious meal together. Melanie and Treavor chose elegant green, gold, and white details to decorate the space. I loved their climbing greenery all over the terrace. It was amazing and felt like a romantic fairytale come to life. Melanie and Treavor’s reception was a blast! They had a live band and a dance floor outside on the terrace – so it was just lovely.
Congratulations again, Melanie and Treavor! I’m so happy I could celebrate this beautiful day with you!!
