Is there anything more exciting than capturing a proposal for two wonderful people?! Dave and Katie are simply the sweetest and I had the honor of photographing their romantic waterfront proposal in Baltimore MD!  Dave was referred to me by current wedding clients of mine, which is always my favorite way to find my people! He and Katie live in Baltimore and it’s been the primary setting of their love story, so there was truly no better place to pop the question and capture their waterfront proposal in Baltimore MD. 

Surprise Waterfront Proposal in Baltimore

We met at the waterfront by the Inner Harbor, with a perfect view of Fells Point and downtown Baltimore. My favorite way to “hide in plain sight” for proposals is to bring a book and find a comfy bench in front of our location. This particular day was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect day to be outside! I enjoyed the view, watching covertly for Dave and Katie. Dave and I had already planned out what was going to happen so I knew what to be watching for! 

Once they arrived, Dave covertly got Katie into position just like we’d planned. He got down on one knee with their dog, Hank, next to him, and I swear I could see every one of Katie’s teeth because she was smiling so big! Getting to witness these highest highs for my clients is truly such a privilege. It was such a beautiful waterfront proposal in Baltimore MD and I know it’s a day they’ll never forget!

Engagement Portraits in Baltimore MD

After Katie said “yes”, we took a few celebratory portraits overlooking the city! There’s something so special and unique about those first portraits after a couple agrees to spend forever together. I loved being a part of those early moments with Dave and Katie (and Hank!). Their joy was palpable. Then Dave and Katie were off to celebrate with friends at a nearby restaurant. This was the perfect start to the next chapter of their love story!
