I am so excited to finally share these photos now that the secret is out! Andrea and Kyle are expecting their first child next year. They wanted to share the news with friends and family with some festive holiday portraits, so we met at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD right after the area was decorated for Christmas to capture their pregnancy announcement portraits.

Andrea and Kyle live in Baltimore, so it was the perfect place to capture their portraits. However, since it was late fall, I kept my eye on the weather leading up to their session date. Thankfully, we ended up having the best weather. On top of that, we basically had the waterfront to ourselves! This allowed us to relax and take our time as we explored the harbor area.

The Inner Harbor is beautiful at any time of year, but seeing the decorations around the city and twinkling lights along the water was magical. It was the perfect backdrop for such a joyful announcement. Andrea looked stunning in a fitted, long-sleeved red dress. Not only did the crimson color pair perfectly with the festive feel of their portraits, but it looked amazing on her and highlighted her growing baby bump. Kyle coordinated in a dark maroon sweater and cream slacks.

Pregnancy Announcement Details

To make the session even more personal, we incorporated a few meaningful details. Kyle is a pilot, so we included an adorable “Daddy’s Co-Pilot” onesie into the session along with a few ultrasound prints. I love incorporating personal items like this into sessions! It’s these little details that help tell your story and make the images even more meaningful. 

This session was such a joy from start to finish. Being invited into moments like this where I get to be a part of celebrating a new chapter in such a meaningful way is one of the greatest honors of my job.
