There are some venues that sit on your bucket list for years, quietly waiting for the right wedding to bring them to life. As a self-proclaimed book nerd, Evergreen Museum & Library in Baltimore, MD has been one of those places for me. When Lily and Trevor chose this stunning, historic estate for their wedding day, I was beyond thrilled to finally get to work here!! Their classic Wedding at Evergreen Library was truly special, and better than I could have imagined.

Located just north of downtown Baltimore, Evergreen Museum & Library is housed within a magnificent Gilded Age mansion surrounded by 26 acres of gardens and wooded grounds. The combination of historic architecture, romantic gardens, and artistic legacy created an unforgettable setting for their wedding. I loved the gorgeous architecture, as it was such a unique element to incorporate into their wedding photos.

Classic Wedding at Evergreen Library in Baltimore, MD
Lily and Trevor knew they wanted to be fully present with their guests for their celebration and that guided their day and overall wedding vision. This led them to do a first look before the ceremony and minimize the amount of time spent for formal portraits. By keeping portrait time efficient, and intentionally skipping sunset portraits, the couple was able to spend more of the evening celebrating with the people they love. Personally, I love this approach!
Beautiful wedding photos never have to come at the expense of your experience. In fact, giving couples more time to simply enjoy their day often provides the opportunity for more authentic, candid moments, like spontaneous laughs, hugs, and emotional moments that happen naturally when you’re fully immersed in the celebration.

Outdoor Garden Ceremony at Sunset
Lily and Trevor chose to host their ceremony in the romantic gardens, which felt perfectly in tune with the classic, timeless atmosphere of the estate. The ceremony space absolutely glowed at sunset, which was perfectly timed as Lily walked down the aisle.
Their ceremony held so much meaning as it featured a hand fasting ceremony officiated by the bride’s aunt. Moments like these are always so meaningful to witness, especially when they’re led by someone close to the couple. This beautiful tradition symbolizes unity and commitment to one another, and was a wonderful illustration of tying the knot together. It felt like the perfect reflection of the intentional, family-centered celebration they had planned.

Meaningful Wedding Details
One of my favorite parts of Lily and Trevor’s wedding was how many personal touches and thoughtful details came directly from their families. Rather than relying solely on rented decor, the bride’s family carefully collected vintage china, which was used at the reception. They also gathered the vessels and candle holders used for the centerpieces, giving the tables an elegant, layered heirloom feel. These details add so much character to a wedding day and create a beautiful aesthetic while making the celebration feel personal.

Carriage House Reception
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the Carriage House, where the reception unfolded. The space blends historic charm with rustic character, featuring exposed brick, original woodwork, and a beautiful tented patio. The candlelight flickering on the tables and stringed lights over the dance floor added to the warm and romantic atmosphere of the evening. It was such a joyful, memorable wedding night, and one that I am so thankful to have witnessed.
Lily and Trevor, congratulations and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful, classic wedding day at Evergreen Library. I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness.
