Michelle & Bill | A Swan Point Country Club Wedding

Michelle & Bill | A Swan Point Country Club Wedding

Our first 2019 wedding is officially in the books! We couldn’t have asked for a better couple to kick off wedding season with than Michelle and Bill. From the first time we met, I knew their wedding was going to be one heck of a party. And it totally was – complete with a bride and groom dance-off to “Bye Bye Bye”!

Michelle and Bill were married right on the water at Swan Point Yacht and Country Club. The forecast looked bleak early in the week, but luckily, they were treated to absolutely gorgeous wedding day weather! This was my first time working at Swan Point, but I hope it isn’t the last. The property is beautiful and classic, and the venue owner, Annette, is such a joy to work with! Michelle and Bill chose an excellent team of vendors to help them celebrate their best day ever. We all worked together to help their day go off without a hitch, and I’d love to work with this team again!

Bill said there was a “100% chance” he’d cry when Michelle walked down the aisle, and he called it. There were so many happy tears on their day, and some bittersweet ones. Just one month prior to their wedding, Michelle’s brother was injured in a serious car accident. He was unable to attend in person, but family members live-streamed the ceremony so that he could be there in spirit. I hope that someday, he’s able to see these photographs and feel how deeply he was missed.

This was our first wedding with a same-day slideshow, and I LOVED it! There’s really not much need for two photographers once the reception gets underway, so Leigh takes that time to begin backing up and editing the images. She selects a handful of our very favorite images from the day and uploads them to an iPad. This means we were able to share a quick slideshow with Michelle and Bill – and their guests! Getting to see their reactions to their images in person was such an amazing feeling!

Michelle and Bill, thank you for trusting me with the honor of photographing your wedding day! Enjoy a few of my favorite images, and have a drink in Barbados for me!
