The Shatuck Sisters | A Graduation Portrait Session

Hanna & Emily | A Senior Portrait Session

The cat’s finally out of the bag! When Hanna contacted me about booking a secret senior portrait session as a surprise for her mom, I was THERE FOR IT. As a mom of two girls myself, I knew Hanna’s mom was going to love this idea! Hanna just graduated from college and her sister, Emily, graduates from Calvert High School this year. What a perfect opportunity to document their achievements!

We met at Jefferson Patterson Park right at sunset and were greeted with dreamy, glowy light. It felt like we had the park all to ourselves! We were dying to share some behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, but somehow we kept this a secret! Hanna and Emily printed one of the portraits for their mom and waited for her to notice it. When she spotted it, she burst into tears – so I’d say this was a success!

I loved getting to know these two and learn more about all they’ve accomplished in the past four years. Hanna spent extensive time traveling abroad in college and graduated with honors – just look at all those stoles she’s rocking! Emily is headed to Towson University next year and made the dance team! So proud of both these ladies and excited to see what they do from here!

Congratulations again, Hanna and Emily!

There’s something undeniably captivating about the waterfront. Maryland’s waterfront venues, whether tucked along the Chesapeake Bay, lining the Eastern Shore, or framed by historic piers, have a way of making portraits feel expansive without ever feeling empty. The light shimmers across the water, the horizon stretches open, and every angle offers a new composition. Portraits […]
