A Destination Wedding at Roblar Winery in Santa Ynez, California

Julie + Zack

Julie and Zack’s destination wedding was one for the books! About forty of their closest loved ones (and me!) gathered in Santa Ynez, California to celebrate the happy couple. Santa Ynez is a gorgeous part of central California, rugged and mountainous, nestled in the heart of wine country. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky the entire time I was there, and I can totally see why Julie and Zack fell in love with the area!

The couple chose to have their wedding at Roblar Winery, a beautiful working vineyard and wedding venue that Julie had visited years prior. She and Zack share a love of wine, so it was the perfect choice for them. Rows and rows of grapes sprawled out in every direction, with the Santa Ynez mountains towering in the background. Anticipation was already growing as I met the girls in the morning, with a full range of emotions bubbling to the surface.

Julie’s mother sadly passed away a few years ago, and her presence was deeply missed every moment of the day. The couple honored her with a front row seat saved for her at the ceremony, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Julie’s dad offered thoughtful remarks at the reception.

As always, the people and moment shined far more than the details, though of course those were stunning as well! My jaw dropped when I saw Julie’s stunning florals, and the charcuterie spread at cocktail hour stole the show (and was absolutely delicious, I might add).

Please enjoy a full recap of their wedding below! Congratulations, Julie & Zack. I’m so honored to have been there!
