A Pride & Prejudice Inspired Editorial

This is the second of two Jane Austen inspired editorial shoots that I had the pleasure of photographing in the Cotswolds last summer! Julie Paisley hosted the most incredible retreat in the heart of the English countryside, and my jaw is still on the floor over these images.

For this shoot, I wanted to embrace the independence and confidence that our heroine, Elizabeth Bennett, possessed in Pride & Prejudice. Notice that there was no groom for this shoot, which I loved! It was so fun to play with a solo female model and be really intentional with her posing and direction.

Please enjoy a selection of my favorite images from this Pride & Prejudice inspired editorial! You can view the Emma editorial shoot HERE. A full recap of the retreat and my time in the Cotswolds is coming soon!

I always recommend leaning on your wedding planner to help with creating a cohesive […]

Lindsey and Andrew’s maternity session at Washington National Cathedral was gorgeous – and had the most perfect timing (since Lindsey delivered just days after our time together!). I’m so happy we were able to pull this off for them. When Lindsey and Andrew told me how important their faith was to them, I immediately thought […]

girls run around parents during spring photos in Washington DC

There’s nothing more special in Washington DC than springtime cherry blossom season! It’s so magical and I love when I have the chance to capture family portraits in the Tidal Basin. This family just moved to DC from Texas, and in fact the date of our session was the first time they’d ever been to […]
