If you’re new around here, you might be looking around my website and thinking, “wait a minute! I only see photos of babies and families! Does Amanda photograph weddings, too?!” And the answer is, heck yes I do! My heart and soul are on fire for weddings. I’ll never forget a conversation I had with my dad just a few days after our first wedding of the year. He asked how it went, and if I liked it as much as I thought I would. Without hesitation, I told him: it feels like I finally found what I am supposed to be doing. Let’s recap a little of how this year went, and what’s in store for the future.

This was Amanda Wose Photography’s first year photographing weddings. Sure, I’d second shot for other photographers, but it’s 110% not the same – especially the way I like to work on a wedding day. I don’t just show up, stand on the sidelines shooting, and go home. I take the time to get to know my couples and their families, so that we know your story and can tell it beautifully. We’re constantly on the lookout for real moments, where emotion cannot possibly be fabricated, that truly tell the story of your wedding day.

I photographed six weddings in 2018, with Leigh as my assistant and second shooter at each one. Each of them had something very important in common: there were 1-2 degrees of separation between myself and the couple. I am so thankful for this. Because of those preexisting relationships, there was instant camaraderie and trust between myself and my couples. They knew I’d serve them well, even with a limited portfolio to show at the time. And I was able to authentically BE part of their wedding day, because I had relationships with their friends and family.

Our calendar has started to fill for 2019, and even into 2020. We’ve had to take a step back and really think about the types of clients we want to serve. Here’s what it comes down to: I want every single wedding to feel like the six we photographed this year. That’s why, for the time being, we have removed weddings from the website. I want to continue finding my couples organically: through friends and family, coworkers, and existing clients.

For now, taking weddings off the existing website has greatly reduced wasted time with inquiries that aren’t going anywhere, allowing me to focus my limited time on the couples that love us. My goal is to eventually build a separate website for weddings, so stay tuned for so much more to come!

We also had the opportunity to photograph several of our 2019 couples’ engagement sessions! I love them all dearly, and am so thrilled that somehow, they found and chose me. With that said, we have room on the calendar for just three more weddings in 2019. If you or someone you know is searching for a wedding photographer that will love and serve them like family, let’s chat!

Without further ado, here’s some of my favorite moments from weddings and engagement sessions in 2018! Thank you all for letting us be part of your love story.
