A Solomons Island Family Session
I had one goal heading into this session: win Colin over. I photographed Colin last year during Kiera’s newborn session, and he just wasn’t having it that time! We’re really asking a lot from kids in a studio setting – who wants to sit still and smile in a room full of props and photography equipment?! Not me, and I’m – well, not a toddler!
Just as I suspected, Colin did AWESOME during their family portrait session last weekend! Being outdoors in a more relaxed setting makes a world of difference. He was able to run around, explore, and even wade into the water at the end of the session! Scroll down to see this ADORABLE smile he kept flashing me. I’d say I succeeded in my goal!
While planning this session, Kelly mentioned that she’d love something highlighting the Solomons bridge. The little beach tucked away at the end of the boardwalk was the perfect location! Thankfully we saved the beach for the end of the session, because there was no keeping Colin out of the water once he saw it. Typical southern Maryland kid! He didn’t seem to mind the chilly water, but personally, I think it still needs a few weeks to warm up!
Please enjoy a few favorites from the Nave family portrait session!
