Allison & Michael | A Classic Sylvanside Farm Wedding
This wedding is VERY special and I’m so excited to share it! Allison is the younger sister of one of my closest friends in the world, Denise. When Allison inquired last year about having me photograph her wedding, I was thrilled! What an honor to be chosen and trusted to photograph their wedding at Sylvanside Farm. And lucky me, because it was STUNNING!
Allison chose a color palette of dusty rose and midnight blue, which complemented the beauty of the venue perfectly. She carried a stunning bouquet of roses and eucalyptus, but my favorite bridal detail was definitely her veil! It was handmade by Allison’s mom, Tess. How amazing is that?! Just wait until you see the beaded lace detail!
The veil was just one of many personal touches found throughout Allison & Michael’s wedding day. The couple had a personal connection to almost every single vendor on the team! You could just tell that every single person there felt like they were part of the family. That’s exactly how a wedding should be, one big family!
While there were countless fun moments, this day wasn’t without emotion. Michael’s dad passed away earlier this year, and I can only imagine what a bittersweet day it was for him, his mom, and his sister. There wasn’t a dry eye in the building as Michael and his mom danced to “My Wish”. The image of the people they love most in the world surrounding them at that moment takes my breath away, and I hope it reminds them that they are loved and lifted up in this difficult season.
Allison and Michael, thank you SO much for trusting me to create these for you! Enjoy that much-deserved Italian honeymoon, and have an extra cannoli for me!
