Southern Maryland Fall Mini Session Recap

What a weekend! This is our last year offering mini sessions, and we’re definitely going out with a bang. We photographed FIFTEEN beautiful families, and it was a blast! Thankfully, we were treated to a gorgeous autumn day at Jefferson Patterson Park. The weather was beautifully crisp, without a drop of precipitation!

Can I be honest? I had so much anxiety leading up to this event. Relationships with my clients are a cornerstone of my business, but how on earth would I be able to form them in just 20 minutes? And for so many families, all in one day?! I’m a total introvert, and these families deserve to have the best experience. It’s a lot of pressure, but I’m relieved to say that my fears were TOTALLY unfounded!

To make sure everyone still got a taste of the full experience, we sent detailed prep & style guides weeks before the event, along with questionnaires so that I could get to know each family before the big day. Everyone’s outfits were ON POINT, and it felt like I was photographing friends which is always my goal. But most of all, I was so thankful for parents with tons of patience, good attitudes, and lots of grace. I hope I get to spend more time with each and every one of you in the future!

Mini sessions can be stressful. It takes a long time to choose the perfect outfits, get everyone ready, and to keep spirits high on the day of. And then before you know it, the session is over! Fear not, my sweet clients, because everyone did AMAZING! Seriously, there is so much more goodness where these came from!
