Megan & Frankie

Megan and Frankie are finally MARRIED!!! These two first postponed their wedding from May to November due to COVID, then made the difficult decision to scale down their celebration to just twenty of their closest loved ones. A family friend offered his waterfront property as the “Plan B” location, and a new plan was put into motion!

With her wedding now taking place in a totally different season, Megan went back to the drawing board for her inspiration. She wanted to keep some elements the same, such as the blush toned bridesmaids dresses and light grey suits for the guys – with amber and deep orange tones blended in as a nod to the fall season. The result was a stunning color palette, while also letting the natural beauty of the property shine through.

While Megan does love pretty details, she’s quick to emphasize that the people are what’s most important – one of the many things I admire about her. If this year has taught us anything, it’s that the people we love are the most precious thing in the world.

One reason I love small weddings is the ability to sit back and really absorb what’s happening. It was a perfect fall day – unseasonably warm, peak fall foliage, and not a cloud in the sky. I watched as Megan’s dad marveled at how beautiful his family was, with tears in his eyes. There were so many tears at the first look between Megan and Frankie, and then again as she walked down the aisle. Shortly before the ceremony Megan and Frankie exchanged letters and gifts, smiling as they realized they’d written almost identical opening lines to one another – just another sign that these two were made for each other.

Spend just a few moments with Megan and Frankie, and you’ll see that their compatibility is incredibly striking. They’re both kind, warm-hearted people, and they bring out the best in each other. Frankie’s friends said he’d changed for the better since meeting Megan, and Megan’s older sister, Wendy, noted that even though she was older, she often found herself looking up to Megan. Though there were just twenty or so guests in attendance physically, the love and support from countless others was palpable as Megan and Frankie exchanged vows.

It was such an honor to document this wedding day not just for Megan and Frankie, but for all their friends and family who were there in spirit. Thank you so much for trusting me, you two! Enjoy St. Lucia!
