A Spring Maternity Session in Downtown Annapolis

Nikki & Andy

Being able to document my client’s milestones beyond the wedding day is one of my favorite parts of what I do! Nikki and Andy are a perfect example. It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since we first met for their engagement session, then we traveled to the Outer Banks last summer for their wedding, and last week we met again to celebrate the impending arrival of their first baby!

Nikki and Andy hadn’t spent much time in Annapolis, so it was the perfect location for maternity portraits and an evening out together before baby arrives. The skies were clear and the temperatures were warming up, but it was WINDY! Fortunately we were able to make the wind work in our favor, and we even found a few cherry blossoms near the State House.

My favorite thing about these portraits is the joy practically jumping out of them! These two have been ready to be parents for a long time. I remember Nikki saying at their wedding that she hoped they’d have children soon after. It’s amazing to think that they may have a new little one here with them by the time their first anniversary comes in June!

Nikki and Andy are going to be incredible parents, and I can’t wait to find out whether it’s a little boy or a girl in there! Congratulations, you two. Enjoy a few of my favorites!

The light shimmers across the water, the horizon stretches open, and every angle offers a new composition. Portraits […]
