A Classic Annapolis Waterfront Wedding

Chris & Chelsey

We couldn’t have ordered up a better wedding day for Chris and Chelsey if we tried! They were married on a stunner of a September day – temperature in the mid 70s and not a single cloud in the sky. The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel treated all of us to those beautiful downtown Annapolis and water views we love so much. I’m so excited to share their wedding with you!

The day began with bridal prep at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel! Chelsey and her girls enjoyed a relaxing morning while I photographed all the pretty details. Chelsey had a first look with her dad that was so emotional, she could barely speak to have him turn around and see her. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room at that moment!

Once everyone was ready, we drove to the couple’s church in Bowie for a first look with Chris before the ceremony. Chris had the BIGGEST grin on his face when he saw Chelsey, letting out a “HOLY SMOKES!” as they embraced. This is why I LOVE first looks! It’s a moment all to yourselves where you can speak to each other, hug, cry, laugh – all without hundreds of eyes on you. I seriously can’t recommend a first look highly enough!

Chris and Chelsey’s faith is incredibly important to them, so their Catholic ceremony was a highly anticipated moment in the day. My favorite moment was after the ceremony, Chelsey’s bridesmaids surrounded her in the most genuine and celebratory hug. There’s nothing like friends that are cheering you on and celebrating you!

We made our way back to Annapolis just in time for beautiful sunset portraits on the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel’s private pier! These were some of my favorites of the entire day! Guests were treated to a relaxing outdoor cocktail hour, soaking in the sunset and enjoying the views.

The rest of the reception was a nonstop celebration! Toasts were made in the couples’ honor, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long. It was the perfect end to a perfect day!

Congratulations, Chris and Chelsey!
