Jena & Andrew | Herrington on the Bay Wedding

bride holds pink and purple bouquet with veil round the shoulder

Jena and Andrew are married! The newlyweds hosted a stunning Herrington on the Bay wedding filled with bright, beautiful details that was intimate and so elegant. Herrington on the Bay is one of my favorite Maryland wedding venues – a coastal staple for over 25 years. Their venue sits on the Chesapeake Bay and all day long, Jenna, Andrew, and their guests enjoyed incredible views of the water and the start of this new chapter.  Enjoy peek into their Herrington on the Bay wedding day!

Herrington on the Bay Wedding with Bright Flowers

One my personal favorite things about Jena and Andrew’s wedding day were all of the bright colors they used! Jena carried a gorgeous bouquet of bright pink and purple flowers in front of her strapless wedding gown and under her veil detailed with floral accents. Andrew wore a light blue suit and his boutonniere matched Jena’s bouquet.

Jena and Andrew also brought the same colors to the arbor that was the centerpiece of their ceremony. In fact, the roses climbing up the front of the wooden arbor looked like a gorgeous rainbow! Such a fun little detail. They brought the same colors and energy into their tented reception, too. I’m still obsessed with the details. Jena and Andrew also asked their guests to wear garden party cocktail attire, which brought more fun color to their Herrington on the Bay wedding, too!

Chesapeake Bay Wedding Day

Jena and Andrew kept their wedding day small and intimate. Each had only one attendant on each side. I am so loving the trend of smaller wedding parties to keep things intimate and stress-free throughout the day. In addition to their small bridal party, Jena and Andrew also had their dog Pippa walk down the aisle as their flower girl. She was absolutely adorable and it was a great way to include their furry girl in their celebration! The bride’s brother was unable to attend as he’s currently deployed overseas, so family friends arranged to have a life-size cardboard cutout of him displayed at the aisle. So many tears shed, but he was there in spirit! It was another great touch to their wedding day.

After their waterfront ceremony, Jena changed into her sparkly reception dress and she and Andrew partied the night away with their guests. As always, Herrington on the Bay provided some incredible food and a great location for their celebration. It was truly a gorgeous wedding day!

Congratulations again, Jena and Andrew! I’m so happy for you and I had a wonderful time capturing your stunning Herrington on the Bay wedding day on the Chesapeake Bay.

There’s something incredibly special about capturing couples in a place that feels like home… especially when that place is Brooklyn, NYC. For Danny and Paige, choosing their neighborhood of Williamsburg for their engagement session wasn’t just convenient. It was deeply personal. It’s where they live, walk their dog, grab coffee, and live their lives together. […]
