It means so much when clients invite me back into their lives to document various chapters and seasons.I first met Andrea and Kyle when I photographed their pregnancy announcement portraits at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor over the winter holidays. So when they reached out again to document their chic baby shower inspired by Ralph Lauren, I was absolutely thrilled! This sweet celebration was especially meaningful knowing that I would eventually get to meet their sweet baby boy, too. With their little boy due in summer 2026, Andrea and Kyle gathered their closest family and friends for a spring baby shower at Rye Street Tavern in Baltimore, Maryland.

A Chic Baby Shower Inspired by Ralph Lauren

Their shower was thoughtfully designed to perfection. The inspiration for the shower was the timeless aesthetic of Ralph Lauren, with a classic palette of navy blue and hunter green. The result was sophisticated, preppy, and incredibly chic while still feeling warm and celebratory for a baby boy. As shower guests walked into Rye Street Tavern, they were greeted with a blue and white flower arrangement inside a classic baby carriage with greenery interspersed.

The tables were elegantly decorated with more blue and white flowers offset by green flora. At each place setting there were light brown woven settings for the plates to sit and matching pen holders. Atop each plate sat a navy napkin and a custom Ralph Lauren inspired sugar cookie for each guest to enjoy as their favor.  

There were so many fun details for guests to enjoy as well. They had a charm bracelet station allowing guests to create a custom, personalized keepsake. My favorite detail, however, was Ralph’s coffee cart!  Set up next to the tables, guests could enjoy a sweet treat and a coffee, which was such a fun themed addition to the afternoon.

Being able to document these milestones for Andrea and Kyle is such a gift. I also had the joy of photographing baby boy’s newborn portraits after his arrival in June! After documenting their pregnancy announcement and then this beautiful shower, getting to meet the little person everyone had been celebrating was such a special full-circle moment. I’m just so grateful that Andrea and Kyle trusted me to document these incredibly meaningful moments as they became a family of three.
