A Solomons Island Senior Session

A Solomons Island Senior Session

Okay, it’s official. Senior sessions are TOTALLY my jam! We met Emily a few days ago to photograph new images for our senior style guide, and it was SO much fun! Solomons Island was the perfect location for the shoot. There were so many great little locations just minutes away from each other, and so much was in bloom! It was definitely hot out, but we made sure to take AC breaks in the car in between locations!

I gave Emily the advice to bring outfits that were “light, bright, and white” and she totally nailed it. Senior sessions are the perfect opportunity to show off a few of your favorite outfits, while mixing in statement pieces for variety. She chose a super cute polka dotted romper, a white lace dress, and a coral crop top with white shorts. Each outfit was gorgeous on its own, and flowed well together in the gallery too!

It was so much fun getting to know Emily a little better during her session. She’s headed to Towson University and planning to major in Special Education, and recently learned that she was accepted to their dance team! Towards the end, Emily joked that her selfie game was seriously going to improve after the session. And that’s so true! I love helping my seniors feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. Posing yourself in a flattering way can be so hard, but I’ll be guiding you every step of the way!

There’s something undeniably captivating about the waterfront. Maryland’s waterfront venues, whether tucked along the Chesapeake Bay, lining the Eastern Shore, or framed by historic piers, have a way of making portraits feel expansive without ever feeling empty. The light shimmers across the water, the horizon stretches open, and every angle offers a new composition. Portraits […]
