Baby Conley | An Annapolis Newborn Session

Earlier this week, I got the chance to visit Annapolis for an in-home newborn session with one of my favorite families. Thanks to the “it’s a girl” garden flag and beautiful blush rose wreath, I knew immediately that I was in the right place when I arrived at the Conley home!

Photographing Lindsay and Chris feels more like visiting old friends at this point. It’s been so fun to watch their family grow! All that practice in front of the camera means these guys are total pros. Colton totally hammed it up for the camera, and Makena never made a peep the whole time I was there.

Lindsay and Chris just wrapped up renovations on their home, and I was so happy to have light colored walls and lots of natural light to work with! Makena’s nursery is a beautiful light grey with blush and boho accents – including framed prints from the AWP print shop! I loved seeing my own work up on this sweet girl’s walls!

Please enjoy a few of my favorites – and bloopers – from baby Makena’s newborn session. Congratulations, Conley family!

Understanding the key difference that could make or break your portraits, the distinction between posing and art direction, is something many […]
