Baby Thurman | Amanda Wose Photography

Recently I had the pleasure of welcoming baby Shelby, her mom, and her mimi to my home studio. Shelby is three months old and an absolute beauty. I won’t lie, I’m still feeling some serious eyelash envy over here!

Shelby is a total girly girl, with a stunning pink and grey nursery that deserves to be in a magazine. With that in mind, I chose to use an assortment of blush and bashful (Steel Magnolias, anyone?!) props and backdrops to accessorize the session. As a full service photographer, I strive to provide my clients not just with beautiful images, but with pieces of art that will complement their homes and personal style.

Doesn't her expression just scream old Hollywood glamour?

Shelby was an absolute dream to photograph. At three months old she’s well past the stage of sleeping peacefully through pose after pose, but she delighted us with lots of smiles and an easy-going attitude. Just look at this happy girl!

I loved getting to know Shelby’s sweet mama and grandmother during the photo session and their ordering appointment. It was such a joy to see their reactions in person, to select favorites together, and to bring those images to life in the form of art they’ll be able to enjoy for years to come.

Understanding the key difference that could make or break your portraits, the distinction between posing and art direction, is something many […]
