Jessica & Dayne | Mechanicsville, Maryland
I cannot believe the 2018 wedding season has come to an end! Jess and Dayne were our last couple to tie the knot this year, and we couldn’t have asked for better humans to end the season with. With fall accents, gorgeous twinkle lights, crisp autumn air, and a jam-packed dance floor, it was the perfect way to wrap up the year. Jess and I found each other through her mom, Theresa, who is a former coworker of mine. There were so many familiar faces at this wedding! I loved getting to catch up with friends, former coworkers, and AWP clients. Gotta love living in southern Maryland!
These two are so laid back and adorably in love. I’ll never forget how Dayne held on to his bride, twirling her around during their first look so that he could see the entirety of her dress. They’re proof positive that first looks don’t take away any emotion during the aisle moment, and are actually a great way to get some alone time with your spouse on your wedding day! Especially on a busy day like theirs, it was refreshing to just pause for a moment and soak in what they were about to do.
Jess and Dayne chose not to have a wedding party, which made their day feel even more intimate. During cocktail hour, we slipped away to a nearby field for some brand new husband and wife portraits. Jess just beamed with happiness, while Dayne helped track down the last slivers of light as the sun dipped below the horizon.
As the reception began, Dayne’s dad read a letter written by his own father before he passed away. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as he held the letter in his hand, tracing over the words and passing down well wishes for Jess and Dayne’s new marriage. But once the dance floor opened, their guests were ready to party! I love photographing action on the dance floor, and Jess and Dayne’s families did NOT disappoint!
Thank you so much for trusting me to document your wedding day. Congratulations, you two!

Awesome ? pictures
Theresa,
The pictures are sooo beautiful. It looks like the perfect wedding! They are a darling couple. I remember the little girl you brought to class occasionally! So lovely (like her Mom) and so grown up.
Paula ❤️
