The Westley Family | A Coastal Portrait Session

A Coastal Portrait Session

Baby Evalene is a member of our baby’s first year program, and I’ve so enjoyed getting to know her family this year! This was my third time photographing the Westley family, and each time just gets better and better. It really takes the pressure off everyone when a session feels like catching up with friends!

This is ESPECIALLY true for toddlers like Austin! This little guy is two and totally not into the sitting still and smiling thing. Luckily, we don’t do too much of that around here anyway! What finally won him over was letting him take pictures with my second camera. He loved looking through the viewfinder and hearing the shutter click. I think Austin might have a new hobby on his hands – sorry, mom and dad!

Evalene is such a second kid. She was so laid back and calm the entire session! I can’t believe she’s already six months old. Her first year is flying by! Soon we’ll be photographing her first birthday portraits, and I just can’t handle it!

Thanks so much for traveling down to my neck of the woods, you four! See ya again soon!

Understanding the key difference that could make or break your portraits, the distinction between posing and art direction, is something many […]
