Abby & Mike | An Autumn Tranquility Farm Wedding
Get excited people, because I’ve got a stunner to share with you today! Abby and Mike’s wedding at Tranquility Farm was truly one for the books. It was the closest we’ve got to needing a rain plan yet this year! Fortunately, we never did feel a drop out in Purcellville, and the skies cleared just moments before the ceremony.
This couple is just so special. How can two people be so intelligent and profoundly thoughtful, yet also have the BEST laugh and sense of humor? Just to give you a little taste, their vows included promises to never stop dancing in the apartment, tributes to their cat Ells, references to John and Abigail Adams’ love letters, and disses to the Maryland flag. (I’ll forgive you for that last one, Abby!)
One of my favorite moments came when we sneaked Abby and Mike out of cocktail hour for sunset portraits. The light at Tranquility Farm had gotten glowy and perfect, and I was so thankful for this extra time with them. I knew they didn’t want to miss too much of their cocktail hour, but just as I was internally worrying about taking up too much of their time, Mike said how much he was enjoying it! YES – that is a win right there! My goal is for portraits to be a fun part of the wedding day, especially for the groom! Scroll down to see all the pretty we were able to capture. So worth missing a few minutes of cocktail hour!
Please enjoy a few highlights from Abby & Mike’s wedding day. Congratulations, Abby & Mike! Have the best time in Japan!
