A Manassas Battlefield Portrait Session | The Zuniga Family

A Manassas Battlefield Portrait Session | The Zuniga Family

We had to traipse through a battlefield to find it, but autumn has arrived in northern Virginia! I met the Zuniga family at Manassas Battlefield last night for a family portrait session. The leaves were just starting to turn yellow, but it was still nearly 90 degrees out! Despite the heat, their session was a blast!

I wanted to challenge myself to photograph a new family in a place that was totally new to me, and we had the best time. Lindsay and Leo have three kids, three and under, which can definitely feel a little chaotic at times! Fortunately the kids had room to play in the field, and the light just poured in beautifully. Scooby snacks and games kept the kids entertained just long enough to create some beautiful fall family portraits!

Enjoy a few favorites from their session!

Sticking with one photographer over the years is one of the best things a family can do, because it allows everyone to feel more comfortable and genuinely enjoy the session. One thing is certain, […]

When you have clients that love and appreciate art as much as Isabella and Jory, you find a way to showcase that love in photos. For them, that meant a National Gallery of Art engagement session. It turned out more perfect than I could have imagined. Including personal items or highlighting shared interests is something […]
