The 2019 wedding season has come to a close! It’s been such a wonderful year, but I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to close it out with than Kati and Jesse. These two are so sweet and over the moon for each other, and every little detail of their wedding day was unforgettable. From jaw-dropping florals to vows so emotional, you could actually hear sniffles in the room, you will NOT want to miss this one!
I won’t lie – I was nervous leading up to this wedding! The forecast looked ominous, and thanks to the early December sunset, we’d have less than an hour to complete all of the portraits for the day. Not to mention the cold temperatures!
Fortunately, the rain held off during the exact timeframe that we needed to be outside! The venue provided warm blankets and golf carts for transportation, so that the wedding party could stay as comfortable as possible. Shoutout to Kati’s amazing bridesmaids for braving the cold temperatures (twice!) so that we could create some amazing portraits! I’d say it was totally worth it!
My absolute favorite moment, without a doubt, was the exchange of vows. Kati and Jesse chose to write their own vows to each other, and they were both so incredibly heartfelt. Guests on both sides told me afterward, beaming, that Kati and Jesse simply bring out the best in each other. Their promises to each other totally reflected that!
What really made their ceremony special was that one of their closest friends, Bobby, got ordained so that he could marry the two of them. Bobby said he was nervous before the ceremony, but he had nothing to be worried about AT ALL! It was truly one of my favorite ceremonies ever!
Speaking of vendors, I have to love on the team that Kati and Jesse assembled for their wedding day. Every single one knocked it out of the park! Bay Blossoms created some of the most stunning arrangements I’ve ever seen, and Bailey’s Catering treated us to a delicious meal. CJ from Crow Entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night – and fun fact – he was the DJ at my and Adam’s wedding, six years ago! It was so fun to reconnect again as friendors! Amy from Paradaisy Films was such a joy to work alongside, too. Sometimes photographers and videographers can get a reputation for “butting heads” when they work together … that was NOT AT ALL the case here! Team work made the dream work, because the teaser video she’s already posted is AMAZING!
Kati and Jesse, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for having me as your wedding photographer! Enjoy the new home and settling into married life!
