Amy and Jason are finally MARRIED! After months of uncertainty and canceled plans, their Annapolis wedding finally happened last weekend. They were supposed to be married in May, but then, COVID happened. Even these plans were a little uncertain in the days leading up as quarantine restrictions continued to flux. In fact, they hired me less than two weeks ago!
Typically I have months and months to get to know my couples, so I was SO nervous headed into Amy and Jason’s wedding day. After everything they’d been through, I wanted photography to at least be one aspect of the experience that was fun and stress-free for them.
I am THRILLED to report that their day was absolute perfection! Amy and Jason’s vendor team knocked it out of the park, the weather was beautiful, and they were surrounded by joyous friends and family. From the moment I walked into Amy’s bridal suite, to their slow dance to Wagon Wheel as the yacht pulled back up to the dock – I instantly felt as if I was among friends.
So many moments stand out from their day, but what I remember most is how all the wedding day jitters faded away at the first look. They melted into each other in a sea of happy tears, which is exactly why I love first looks! Especially when you’re getting married on a boat and there’s literally nowhere to escape, a first look guarantees a few moments of privacy!
Amy warned me that she didn’t love having her photo taken, but guys – she is a total pro! I’m so thankful for their trust in me. When Amy and Jason excitedly agreed to sneak away from their dinner for a few sunset portraits at the bow of the yacht, I knew I’d won them over! Take a look below to see what we got – it was SO worth it!
Congratulations, Amy and Jason!
