Colorful & Beachy Southern Maryland Portraits | The Klauda Family

These family portraits are giving LIFE to my color-loving heart! Brittney is a Lilly girl like me, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw the outfits she chose for their family portraits. We met at Jefferson Patterson Park for their session, which coincided with the week of baby girl Zoe’s first birthday.

This family is particularly special to me because Zoe was the 100th newborn I photographed, and the very last baby that I photographed in my home studio before closing it last year to focus on weddings and outdoor portraits! It’s hard to believe how much has changed in just a year. My in-home studio has transitioned into an office and now a homeschool room for my girls, and I’m so much happier creating portraits outdoors like these ones. So thankful for the Klauda family’s continued trust in me as AWP evolves!

Baby Zoe is one now and has so much personality! This girl was ALL about the snacks while we were together – a girl after my own heart for sure. Mom and dad did such a great job just rolling with it and not stressing about whether or not Zoe was cooperating, which makes my job so easy. And it totally shows in how relaxed and gorgeous their portraits turned out! Enjoy a few of my favorites below!

I’ve honestly lost track of how many times I’ve photographed this family now, and each time truly gets better and better! Sticking with one photographer over the years is one of the best things a family can do, because it allows everyone to feel more comfortable and genuinely enjoy the session. One thing is certain, […]

When you have clients that love and appreciate art as much as Isabella and Jory, you find a way to showcase that love in photos. For them, that meant a National Gallery of Art engagement session. It turned out more perfect than I could have imagined. Including personal items or highlighting shared interests is something […]

When you think of wedding photography, your mind probably goes straight to the romantic wedding portraits, like the epic first kiss at the ceremony, or the newlywed’s first dance. While these wedding day moments are essential and some of my favorites to capture, there are other photos that are just as important but often overlooked […]
