Erin + Vince
Can you feel it? We’ve officially shifted into autumn! Erin and Vince’s wedding was the first of season that truly felt like a fall wedding day. A beautiful burnt orange and navy color palette, trees starting to show just a bit of changing color, and brisk temperatures once the sun set were perfect for dancing the night away.
Erin and Vince were married on their family farm in southern Maryland. Fun fact: the farm is literally right up the road from my house, and I walk by it all the time! I loved the two minute commute to their venue almost as I loved being the one who got to photograph their day.
One of my favorite moments was their first look! Vince totally fell apart when he saw Erin for the first time. These two are surrounded by tons of family and friends, so the entire day felt like one big celebration. Just look at the size of that bridal party!
Guests began to arrive at the farm, and soon it was time to take seats before the ceremony began. I don’t think there was an empty seat to be found! Erin is totally devoted to her horses, so of course, she arrived at the ceremony on horseback. Such an incredible moment, and by far the most creative ceremony entrance I’ve seen yet!
The ceremony was short and sweet so that everyone could get right back to celebrating. Cocktail hours like this one are why I’m such a huge proponent of first looks! Because of the first look, we were able to take all of Erin and Vince’s formal portraits before the ceremony – meaning they got to actually attend and enjoy their cocktail hour. Of course, we did sneak out for just a few moments for portraits by the barn!
Erin and Vince, thank you so much for trusting me to document your wedding day. Enjoy just a few of my favorites below!
