Carley & Kenny | A Summertime Wedding at the Pavilion at Weatherly

newlyweds hold hands walking across lawn with water behind them at the Pavilion at Weatherly

Carley and Kenny were married at the Pavilion at Weatherly, one of my favorite southern Maryland wedding venues! The Weatherly staff have invested so much care into renovating the property over the years, and every time I’m here it’s better and better. Carley and Kenny planned the most romantic and elegant day along the waterfront. Their summer wedding at the Pavilion at Weatherly was so dreamy!

Summer Wedding at the Pavilion at Weatherly

I loved all of the details from Carley and Kenny’s wedding day. They had an elegant ivory stationery set and Carley’s sparkly shoes were beautiful! It was a great start to the morning to capture all of their details before Carley and Kenny met for their first look. They chose to have a first look so that they could accomplish all of their portraits prior to the ceremony and enjoy their cocktail hour. I always find this is so much more relaxing for couples and lets them truly stay present and savor their time with their guests. We found a little spot on the lawn for them to meet and have a private moment before their wedding day really began.

Waterfront Wedding Ceremony

Carley and Kenny were able to have their wedding ceremony right on the lawn at the Pavilion at Weatherly. They tied the knot under a beautiful wooden arbor draped in white fabric and pink, blue, and white flowers. Carley’s bridesmaids looked perfect in their light green gowns in front of the water. It was all stunning and a wonderful summer ceremony.

Outdoor Wedding Reception at the Pavilion at Weatherly

After the ceremony, Carley and Kenny’s guests moved to the gorgeous pavilion for their cocktail hour and reception. The space was transformed with white linens, mint green napkins, and single flower centerpieces featuring more of the pink and blue florals seen throughout the day. Guests played lawn games and mingled with the newlyweds while Carley and Kenny wandered on the lawn. My favorite part of their reception was that the guests were treated to a fireworks display after sunset! We all gathered on the lawn and watched the fireworks booming over the water in a moment none will soon forget.

Congratulations again, Carley and Kenny! Your summer wedding day was stunning and I’m thrilled I Could be with you to capture every moment of your waterfront wedding day.

I’ve honestly lost track of how many times I’ve photographed this family now, and each time truly gets better and better! Sticking with one photographer over the years is one of the best things a family can do, because it allows everyone to feel more comfortable and genuinely enjoy the session. One thing is certain, […]

When you have clients that love and appreciate art as much as Isabella and Jory, you find a way to showcase that love in photos. For them, that meant a National Gallery of Art engagement session. It turned out more perfect than I could have imagined. Including personal items or highlighting shared interests is something […]

When you think of wedding photography, your mind probably goes straight to the romantic wedding portraits, like the epic first kiss at the ceremony, or the newlywed’s first dance. While these wedding day moments are essential and some of my favorites to capture, there are other photos that are just as important but often overlooked […]
