A Greenwell State Park Engagement Session | Emma & Nick

Back in action and it feels SO GOOD! After three long months without sessions thanks to COVID-19, Emma and Nick’s engagement session was good for my soul. Quarantine has a way of making you realize what matters most, and one thing is for sure – I absolutely LOVE what I do. So thankful to be back to work documenting love stories!

Despite an iffy forecast, the sun was shining when I met Emma and Nick at Greenwell State Park. A lot of people will say that overcast days are best for photos, but full sun is definitely where my style shines! I’m totally obsessed with their outfit choices, too. It’s a perfect balance of soft and romantic, then bold and bright! Nick joked that he doesn’t really do light colors, but this shade of blue was the perfect complement to Emma’s white off-the-shoulder dress.

This day wasn’t just special because of their engagement session – it was also their two year dating anniversary! Crazy to think how far they’ve come in that time. Emma has just graduated from nursing school and Nick is a firefighter, so these two are definitely who you’d want around in an emergency.

Not too much longer, and they’ll have a new special date to celebrate! Emma and Nick are planning a fall wedding at the Barn at Pleasant Acres, and I cannot wait to see their plans come to life. But for now, please enjoy my favorites from their engagement session! Congrats, you two!

I’ve honestly lost track of how many times I’ve photographed this family now, and each time truly gets better and better! Sticking with one photographer over the years is one of the best things a family can do, because it allows everyone to feel more comfortable and genuinely enjoy the session. One thing is certain, […]

When you have clients that love and appreciate art as much as Isabella and Jory, you find a way to showcase that love in photos. For them, that meant a National Gallery of Art engagement session. It turned out more perfect than I could have imagined. Including personal items or highlighting shared interests is something […]

When you think of wedding photography, your mind probably goes straight to the romantic wedding portraits, like the epic first kiss at the ceremony, or the newlywed’s first dance. While these wedding day moments are essential and some of my favorites to capture, there are other photos that are just as important but often overlooked […]
